How it works
You answer a few questions on Wisetack's site and see what you qualify for. That check is a soft credit inquiry, so it does not affect your credit score, and it costs you nothing to look. If the numbers work, you pick the option that suits you and we get on with the job — financing pays us directly, so there is nothing for you to coordinate between us and the lender. If they do not work, nothing happens.
A full credit check only happens if you formally accept an offer, never at the point where you are simply finding out where you stand.
What you can use it for
Anything we do — roofing, gutters, siding, fencing, flooring, windows and full remodels. Financing is not limited to a roof replacement, and it applies just as well to a repair you were not expecting as to a planned project.
Questions people ask
Will checking my options hurt my credit score?
No. Prequalifying runs a soft credit check, which does not affect your score. A hard credit inquiry only happens if you go on to formally accept a financing offer.
Am I committed to anything if I check?
No. Checking your options is free and carries no obligation. Plenty of people prequalify, look at the numbers and decide to pay another way — that is a perfectly normal outcome.
Do I have to know the exact cost of the job first?
No. Many homeowners check their options before the inspection so they already know their budget when we hand them a price. Others wait until they have the line-item quote. Either order works.
Is there a penalty for paying it off early?
No. Wisetack's loans carry no prepayment penalty and no prepaid finance charges or participation fees. Paying ahead of schedule costs you less in interest, not more.
Who is actually lending the money?
Wisetack and its lending partners. CS Roofing Concepts is not a lender and does not make credit decisions — we do not see your credit report, and approval is not ours to give or refuse.
What if I am turned down?
Then we talk about the job differently. Sometimes that means phasing the work, or repairing now and replacing later. Tell us what your budget actually is and we will tell you honestly what it buys.
